NEIGHBOR CO., LTD. ("we") runs DreamCore, a service where you can make games just by chatting (the website and the app, together "the Service"). This page explains how we handle your information on the Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

What you give us

TypeDetails
AccountEmail address, your ID from the service you sign in with (Google, Apple, or X), display name, and profile picture. For ID-and-password accounts handed out by schools and similar groups, we do not collect an email address (passwords and recovery codes are stored in a form that cannot be reversed)
ProfileUsername, display name, bio, social links, profile picture, and your private-account setting
What you makeMessages you send in chat, game code, images and videos you create, images and photos you upload, and your publishing settings
Social activityTimeline posts, comments, likes, follows, blocks, reports, and game scores and play records
Support requestsWhat you send and its category, the page you were on, and your browser type. We use your account email address to reply
SurveysYour answers to surveys you choose to take. Answers to in-app surveys are stored with your account. For surveys you can answer without signing in, we store your answers, language, country, and, if you give it, your contact (an email address or social media account)
PaymentsYour plan, payment status, and your customer and transaction numbers at the payment provider. Your card number never reaches us (you enter it on the payment provider's screen)

What is recorded while you use the Service

  • Usage records: pages you open, features you use, errors, and time spent. We create a random number for each device (a device ID), store it in your browser, and use it to group these records.
  • Device and approximate location: operating system, browser, screen size, language, time zone, and country. The country comes from the country code added by our network provider (Cloudflare); we do not store your IP address in usage records.
  • Where you came from: the site you were on just before (in most cases only the site's name part), tags attached to ads and referral links (such as utm parameters), the search words when you come from a search engine, and markers from shared links and invitations. To connect people who visit our website and then install the app, we also store a number calculated from part of your IP address, your browser type, language, time zone, and screen size (we do not store the IP address itself, and we stop using these numbers after 7 days).
  • Ad click IDs: when you arrive from an ad, we may record the ad click ID in the URL (a string added by Google, Meta, X, TikTok, Microsoft, and others) to measure how well our ads work. We currently do not send these IDs back to ad companies. If we start doing so, we will update this page first.
  • Security records: we use your IP address temporarily to block fraudulent sign-ups and floods of requests. When you change linked sign-in accounts, we keep a record that includes your IP address and browser information.
  • Notifications: the device token used to deliver push notifications, and records of emails we sent.

How we use it

  • To run the Service (sign-in, making, saving, publishing, and playing games, and notifications)
  • To make games and images with AI (see the next section)
  • To handle payments and payment questions
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, and security problems
  • To understand which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve the Service
  • To learn how people find the Service and how well our ads work
  • To tell you about news and reactions to your work by email or notification (you can turn these off in settings)
  • To respond when the law requires it

AI and photos

When you make games or images, we send what you write, the code of the game you are working on, and any images or photos you attach to companies that provide AI models, which process them for us. When you make a character from a photo, we give the photo to the AI as a reference, and we also use AI to check that the result looks like the person in the photo.

  • Photos are saved privately as materials of the project you made. Other people only see the art that appears in games you choose to publish.
  • Photos you upload before signing in stop being usable after 60 minutes and are deleted after that.
  • To improve the Service, we may keep records of your conversations with the AI in a private location.
  • Please get permission from other people before using their photos.

What other people can see

  • Profile: your username, display name, profile picture, bio, social links, and follower counts are visible to others.
  • Games: you choose who can see each game: everyone, only people with the link, or no one.
  • How it was made (chat): when you publish a game, you choose whether to show how it was made.
  • Posts and comments: what you write on the timeline or on games is visible to others.
  • Play records: when you play a game while signed in, your display name and profile picture (and your score) appear in that game's list of players and score rankings, and other people can see them.
  • Private account: when turned on, people need your approval to follow you.

Please do not put information that identifies you, such as your real name, school, or address, in your work or profile.

Cookies and storage on your device

The Service stores your sign-in state, language setting, device ID, and "where you came from" markers in your browser's storage (such as localStorage). The "where you came from" markers have a time limit of 24 hours to 30 days, and we do not use them after it passes.

We use Google Analytics for analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies and sends browsing information to Google. See how Google uses this information. You can stop it with your browser settings or the opt-out add-on.

How long we keep it

InformationPeriod
Account, profile, work, photos, postsUntil you delete your account (for what happens after that, see "Deleting your account and your choices")
Usage recordsAs long as needed to improve the Service (there is no fixed period)
"Where you came from" markers on your deviceA time limit of 24 hours to 30 days; we do not use them after it passes
Photos uploaded before signing inUnusable after 60 minutes, then deleted
Records of game-making jobs14 days
Server logsAbout 7 days at most
Payment recordsAs long as required by law and by the payment provider's rules (kept at the payment provider)

Usage records, records of AI usage, and records kept to prevent fraud (some of which include IP addresses and browser information) may remain after you delete your account.

Deleting your account and your choices

  • See and correct: you can change your profile, who can see your games, and notification settings in the app at any time.
  • Delete your work: you can delete your own work. Deleted work no longer appears in the Service's lists or on its game page. However, people who know the address may still be able to open the files of a game you had published for a while. So that it can be restored later, we do not erase the data right away.
  • Delete your account: you can request this from Settings → "Delete account". Once you request it, your work immediately stops appearing in the Service's lists and on its game pages (people who know the address may still be able to open the files of games you had published for a while), and your web subscription stops. You can cancel within 30 days of the request. After that, we move on to the process of deleting your account, work, photos, posts, and other data. This process can take some time to finish.
  • Subscriptions: App Store subscriptions do not stop when you delete your account. Please cancel them yourself in your iPhone settings.
  • Email and notifications: you can turn them off in settings or with the unsubscribe link in each email.
  • Other requests: to ask for a copy of your information, ask us to stop using it, or make other requests, contact us below. We will confirm it is you and respond within the time required by law.

Children

Teens use the Service. If you are under 13 (or under a higher age set by the law where you live), please use the Service only with a parent's or guardian's consent. For ID-and-password accounts handed out by schools and similar organizations, we do not collect email addresses. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without a parent's consent, we will take steps to delete it. Parents and guardians can contact us below.

Where you live

  • Japan: we follow the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. Some of the companies listed above are outside Japan, and your information may be handled in other countries.
  • Europe (EU, UK, and others): we process information on the basis of providing the Service (contract), our legitimate interests (keeping the Service safe and improving it), your consent, and legal obligations. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your information, to object, and to withdraw consent, and you can complain to the supervisory authority where you live. Your information is processed outside your country, including in Japan and the United States.
  • United States (including California): we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' advertising. We will not treat you differently for using the rights above.

How we keep it safe

We encrypt connections between you and the Service and limit access to data to the people who need it. Important keys, such as AI keys, are never placed where game code runs. Still, no method on the internet is perfectly safe.

Changes to this page

When we change this page, we update the "Last updated" date. We will also tell you about major changes through in-app news or other means.
