An obby is the simplest fun game there is: jump from platform to platform, don't touch the lava, reach the end. Building one in Roblox Studio means installing it on a computer, learning the editor, and scripting checkpoints in Luau. If you just want your course to exist and your friends to play it tonight, you can describe it instead.

DreamCore is not Roblox and isn't connected to it. Courses you make here run in a web browser, and you share them with a link, not inside the Roblox app. If your goal is to publish on Roblox, Roblox Studio is still the tool. If your goal is "I want to make an obby", read on.

Try a tiny obby first

This one has everything a real obby needs: a start, gaps to jump, a moving platform, two checkpoints, lava, and a finish flag with a timer.

Play a one-minute obby, then make yours

This course was hand-coded for DreamCore as an interaction example. It is not an AI-generated result. The prompt below asks for the same rules; your course will have its own layout and look.

Build my obby

Copy the prompt, open the home screen, paste it, and press Make. You'll sign in before it builds. Press 3D first if you want a 3D course.

Then make it yours, one section at a time

  • Add a stage after the second checkpoint with three platforms that disappear a second after I land.
  • Make it a candy world: pink platforms and chocolate instead of lava.
  • Show my best time on the finish screen.

Play to the finish yourself before sharing, so you know every jump can actually be made.

What to put in your obby prompt

An obby is a list of parts. Write the parts and you have written the game:

Then press Make. A few minutes later you can play it.

Making it harder (without making it unfair)

Obby players love hard courses and hate unfair ones. Change one thing at a time and play it after each change:

If a change goes too far, open version history and restore the version before it.

Plenty of people use both: they sketch an idea here in an evening, see if it is fun, and only then spend weeks building the big version somewhere else.

Sharing your obby

Press Share to get a link. Friends open it on a phone or a computer and play straight away. Want them to make their own version of your course? Turn on remixing in the publish settings and they can start from yours. Games start as link-only; switch to everyone when you want it on your profile and in public listings.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a Roblox obby with this?

No. DreamCore makes games that run in a web browser, not inside Roblox, and it isn't affiliated with Roblox. You can make an obby-style game here and share it with a link.

Can my obby be 3D?

Yes. Press 3D under the input box, or just say "3D, camera behind the player" in your description.

Do I need a computer to make an obby?

No. You can make and play it in your phone's browser. On a phone the game gets touch buttons, and on a computer it uses the keyboard.

Can I add checkpoints and a timer?

Yes. Ask for them in your description, like "respawn at the last checkpoint" and "show my time at the finish". You can add them later too, one message at a time.

Is it free to make an obby?

The free plan lets you make, play and share games, with a daily limit on how many you can create. No card is needed.

Can my friends play without an account?

Yes. They open your link and play. They only need to log in to leave a reaction or put their name on the leaderboard.
